Digital solutions for regional government services can be built by local talent

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria stated that digital solutions for regional government service delivery can now be developed by local talent.

The Mulia Village Government Information System  in Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province, demonstrates that digital solutions for government services can be built by local talent who understand the needs of the community in their area.

While visiting Gampong Mulia in Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City, Nezar said that the presence of the SIPGAM digital platform demonstrated the ability of regional digital talent in providing government service solutions that could be directly utilized by the community.

"SIPGAM was created by local digital talent from Gampong Mulia," he said, as quoted in a ministry press.

"That's one example of how, if we educate and develop existing digital talent, they can make a real contribution in providing digital solutions for their respective regions," he said.

SIPGAM collects various types of information on Gampong Mulia residents in one integrated information system to support the provision of government services, including population administration services, digital correspondence management with certified electronic signature features, and handling of emergency reports from residents.

Village residents can access SIPGAM via the website or smartphone application to utilize its features.

"There are many features there, and the most important one is the government service feature. For example, for correspondence and data collection, we can see the health conditions of residents, what diseases are most commonly suffered by residents, how many heads of families there are, the number of buildings, and so on. All of this data is collected in one integrated information system," Nezar explained.
