The media centers of both clubs stated on Tuesday that the players are in the intensive care unit where they are receiving the necessary medical care under the supervision and continuous monitoring of the treating medical team.
The two clubs issued a joint statement following the accident, expressing their wishes for a speedy recovery for the players, saying: "We extend our sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to players Ahmed Zaki and Khaled Seddik after they were involved in a car accident that resulted in serious injuries."
The statement added: "We ask everyone to pray for them in these circumstances, asking God Almighty to grant them a speedy and complete recovery, to protect them, and to return them safe and sound to their families and colleagues."
