Last year, the PlayStation platform shut down its loyalty program without announcing an alternative, but some users have noticed a new loyalty program that gives them credit in their PlayStation wallets, according to a report by the American tech website Kotaku.
A user of the PlayStation store in the United Kingdom shared a new message that appeared to him when he tried to buy the game "The Blood of Dawnwalker" from the platform's store via the "Reddit" platform. The message indicates that he received a credit in his wallet of up to $10 when he bought the game, and this offer is valid until September 29.
When the player completed the purchase, the balance was automatically found in his wallet so that he could use it later to buy other games.
the message appeared with a selection of games including Star Wars Zero Company, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and Halloween: The Game, without showing the full list of games that support the new feature.
Players also discovered a new app that doesn't work on their PlayStation platforms called "Wallet Credits," and the report suggests it's related to Sony's new feature.
How do I get free credit in the PlayStation Store?
Sony has not yet revealed the criteria and conditions that allow users to obtain free credit within the store, or whether it is part of a temporary promotional campaign or a new type of loyalty program.
The games that received the free credit all had the common characteristic of having been released during the past month, according to the report, despite the absence of a number of prominent titles that were also released at the same time, such as the new "Wolverine" game.
The Gamer report confirmed that the new program is not available to all users in the United Kingdom, as it has not appeared for many players, suggesting that it is still in the experimental stage.

Last year, Sony announced the cancellation of its "PlayStation Stars" loyalty program, although players can still benefit from it until next November, according to the platform's official website.
The program gave users the opportunity to earn a set of points when completing various challenges within PlayStation games, as well as having a set of different levels like the games.
The user can exchange these points to get different emojis within the platform's games or even to get credit within their PlayStation wallet.
