Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday expressed his country's readiness to strengthen ties with Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
He made the remarks in a telephone conversation with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and in his meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev in Tehran.

Pezeshkian highlighted Iran's foreign policy of prioritizing expanding ties with neighboring and regional countries, stressing that fostering ties with various countries, especially "friendly and like-minded" ones, is one of the fundamental priorities of Iran's foreign policy, and that Tehran seeks to further develop cooperation and relations with Tashkent.
Meanwhile, the President of Uzbekistan highlighted the growing momentum in bilateral relations and cooperation, adding that relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields continue to develop.
Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister stressed his country's determination to further expand relations with Iran, underscoring the need to follow up and implement the agreements and understandings reached between the two countries.
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei, in a meeting with Mustafayev on Tuesday, said that Tehran had conveyed to Washington its conditions for ceasing hostilities and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, but that US President Donald Trump could not make a decision.
