In Baghaei said that a new round of exchange of messages and clarifications took place between Iran and the US on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Baghaei listed a number of Tehran's conditions, namely "the cessation of US aggressive actions, including the naval blockade and economic terrorism; the end of the war on all fronts; the release of frozen or restricted Iranian assets; and the acceptance of safe shipping lanes in accordance with the agreement between the two littoral governments.
Citing its exclusive sources, Iran's state-run IRIB news agency reported on Tuesday that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met on the same day with US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and conveyed Iran's firm position to the US regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei told that if the US does not meet Iran's conditions, there will be no talks between Tehran and Washington and the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened.
