Israel continued its attacks on southern Lebanon, using artillery shelling, bombings, and dropping highly explosive materials on homes, while the town of Mansouri alone witnessed more than 30 bombings since Friday night.

The Israeli attacks targeted areas in the districts of Tyre, Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil and Marjeyoun, and targeted homes and infrastructure.
In the Tyre district, the town of Mansouri was subjected to more than 30 bombings between Friday night and Saturday, targeting homes and infrastructure, some of which were completely destroyed. An Israeli drone also dropped canisters containing highly explosive materials on the town, which was also subjected to artillery shelling.
Israeli forces carried out a massive bombing targeting a number of houses in Mansouri, while loud explosions were heard in the city of Tyre and the surrounding areas, amid strong tremors.
In the Nabatieh district, Israeli artillery shelling targeted the town of Doha Kfar Remman and the outskirts of Arnoun, in addition to Wadi al-Salouqi.
In the Bint Jbeil district, Israeli forces carried out a bombing operation in the town of Ainata, along with violent explosions in Hadatha and the outskirts of Ainata from the direction of Qounine, the sound of which was heard in the neighboring villages.
In the Marjeyoun district, a loud explosion was heard in the town of Taybeh. An Israeli drone also dropped explosives on several houses near Birkat al-Hammam, east of Khiam, causing a fire and plumes of smoke.
The National News Agency did not provide immediate information about any martyrs or wounded as a result of Saturday's attacks.
Aoun in Nabatieh
Amid the escalation, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun made a surprise visit on Saturday to the city of Nabatieh, accompanied by Army Commander General Rudolph Haykal, where he toured some of its streets and listened to the demands of the residents, stressing that the state stands by their side.
Aoun said that “there is no specific date for new negotiations with Israel at the moment,” stressing that “withdrawal, the return of prisoners and displaced persons, and reconstruction are national constants that we pledge to implement.”
He addressed the people of the South, saying that his visit, accompanied by the leaders of the security services and the army commander, aimed to confirm that the state is “with you” and to work on securing the necessary services for them to remain in their areas, adding: “God willing, the wound of the South will heal.”
For his part, the army commander confirmed the army’s deployment in Nabatieh and all the liberated Lebanese towns, expressing his hope for “liberating the rest of the towns,” and said that the army would be present in them at that time.
This visit came a day after a US official announced that the next round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon had been postponed until October, after it had been scheduled to take place next week in Rome.
Saturday's attacks come as an extension of widespread Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon on Friday, which included airstrikes, artillery shelling and bombings targeting residential neighborhoods, homes, a school and infrastructure in several areas.
The attacks continue despite a “framework agreement” signed by Beirut and Tel Aviv on June 26, which stipulates a gradual Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army there.
Israel occupies areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades, and others since the war between 2023 and 2024, while it has expanded its presence inside Lebanese territory during its current aggression.
