Monaco temporarily moved to the top of the French football league standings after defeating their guest Lens 2-1 in the fifth round of the competition.
Monaco took the lead in the 32nd minute through Paris Bruner, then Mathieu Odoul equalized for Lens in the 57th minute.
In the 84th minute, Lens player Jonathan Gradit scored an own goal, giving Monaco their second goal and three valuable points.
Monaco raised its tally to 13 points, temporarily taking first place, three points ahead of second-placed Lille, who will face Nice on Sunday in the same round of matches.
On the other hand, Lens' tally remained frozen at four points in tenth place.
