Moroccan club Wydad Athletic Club celebrated its former goalkeeper and Moroccan international Yassine Bounou, after granting him the gold membership number 001, making him the first gold member in the club's history.
Wydad announced on its official page that Bono has joined its list of golden members, and said in an official statement: "Wydad Athletic Club is proud to announce the joining of the Moroccan international and club son Yassine Bono to its list of golden members, holding golden membership number 001 as the first golden member in the history of the club."
The club added: "Wydad Athletic Club is proud to have Yassine Bounou as part of this new chapter in the club's history and to continue to carry the name of Wydad with pride and honor."
Bono moved to Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 and has played 135 matches with Al-Hilal since joining the team. As for the Saudi League, statistics indicate that Bono played 99 matches with “Al-Zaeem” in the Professional League until the end of the 2025-2026 season, during which he kept a clean sheet in 37 matches, while he conceded 90 goals during those appearances.
