"The team is working to address the relatively high tire degradation rate, especially in preparation for the race. They're also still searching for a formula to help the car achieve the best lap time for tomorrow's qualifying," Sean said.
In FP1, Sean and his friends performed quite promisingly because they were able to occupy seventh position.
In FP1, Augusto Farfus immediately took charge, setting a 1:40.617, as he sought maximum team performance from the start. Afterward, Darren Leung and Sean Gelael ran different programs, focusing more on long runs.
Meanwhile, in FP2, Farfus was still the first driver to take part, but the WRT 32's best time was set by Leung with a 1:40.763, placing him in P14. This was certainly a plan to ensure Leung could perform optimally in tomorrow's qualifying session, with the hope of qualifying the team for Hyperpole again.
Team WRT 32 experienced contrasting results in the two practice sessions for the 6 Hours of Fuji. Free Practice 1 was promising, with a P7 finish, but FP2 was spent with no solution to the car's setup.
Sean said that the team is still not satisfied and wants to maximize the final practice tomorrow to optimize the car's capabilities.
