The French magazine "France Football" announced the names of the nominees to win the Cruyff Award for the best coach in the world for the year 2026.
This edition is the second since the implementation of the partnership between the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the global magazine "France Football".
The last recipient of that award was Spaniard Luis Enrique after winning the Champions League title for the first time in the history of the French club, as well as winning the league title, the French Cup and Super Cup, and reaching the final of the 2025 Club World Cup.
Luis de la Fuente is present after successfully leading the Spanish national team to win the 2026 World Cup title for the second time in the country's history, and presented football characterized by speed, accuracy and high technical flexibility.
For the second time in a row, the list of nominees for the Coach of the Year award included Spaniard Luis Enrique after winning the Champions League title for the second time against Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta was included in the list after successfully leading Arsenal to their first Premier League title since 2004 and reaching the Champions League final.
Another Spaniard, Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, appeared after successfully leading his team to win the Europa League title for the first time in the history of the English club.
