Regarding humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, Al-Ansari said that the State of Qatar has provided about 30 million liters of fuel to the Strip from October 7, 2023 until the end of March 2026, and that the grant provided by Qatar, which exceeds 1.3 million liters of fuel, aims to support humanitarian needs and enhance the response to the humanitarian situation in the Strip.

The State of Qatar expressed its condemnation of any targeting of infrastructure, energy facilities and ships in the region by any party, considering that this targeting only comes within the framework of striking at the interests of the peoples, and that the peoples of the region do not deserve to be thrown into the furnace of this conflict, especially the peoples of countries that have no stake in this war, stressing the need to respect infrastructure and energy facilities.

He added that the Gulf region plays an important role in the economy of many countries, in addition to purchasing operations. He noted that with the approach of winter, it is noticeable that fuel prices are rising significantly, and he questioned to what extent the international economy can bear this.

Regarding the possibility of striking Iran before the midterm elections in the United States, Al-Ansari said: “We are aware of any concerns that the region may witness, and we hope to reach a peaceful solution in order to overcome the ordeal we are currently facing, and we hope that it will not be repeated again.”
Regarding mediation in the Gaza Strip file, Al-Ansari said that the State of Qatar has been involved in mediating this file since day one, and that 12 meetings were held at the ministerial level and at different levels to talk about the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories in general.
He added: “We witnessed the course of the negotiations firsthand, and at more than one point we saw the parties approaching progress and then backtracking,” noting that Qatar witnessed repeated attempts by Netanyahu’s government to undermine ceasefire efforts.
He said that what is happening now is not new,explaining that whenever there is progress in the negotiations, there is an escalation on the ground, warning in particular about what is happening in the West Bank, and pointing to an attempt to impose a new reality in the West Bank that contradicts the international consensus that emerged from the Oslo Accords and continues to this day.
Al-Ansari added that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is deteriorating, and that humanitarian challenges are increasing daily.
He pointed out that Qatar made its voice heard in New York before the United Nations General Assembly through the speech of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the country's Emir, and in various meetings and speeches made by Qatari officials about the centrality of the Palestinian issue to peace and stability in the region.
He pointed out that the State of Qatar continues its efforts with its brothers in the region and beyond to ensure progress in the political solution and to support the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s plan in the Gaza Strip.
