Football fans around the world are eagerly awaiting Tuesday's announcement of the final list of nominees for the Ballon d'Or, awarded by France Football magazine to the best player in the world.
The lists of nominees in the various categories of the Ballon d'Or awards are scheduled to be revealed today, September 8, with the men's list including 30 players competing for the most prestigious award, while the women's list includes 30 players.
The nominees for the Best Young Player, Goalkeeper, Coach, Club and Striker awards will also be announced.

The Best in the World awards, for which the nominees will be announced today, include:
Best player, best female player, best goalkeeper, best female goalkeeper, best men's coach, best women's coach, best men's club, best women's club, best striker, best female striker, best young player, best young female player, apart from the Socrates Award.
Many top players are expected to be on the shortlist for that year's Ballon d'Or award, such as Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Ousmane Dembele, Lamine Djamel Rodri, along with the legendary Lionel Messi, who has won the most Ballon d'Or awards with 8.
The 2026 Ballon d'Or awards ceremony will take place in London on Monday, October 26.
