A video clip has circulated on social media platforms showing Al Rayyan striker Ahmed Alaa El Din competing with Al Ahli defender William Ekong in the 38th minute for the ball near the penalty area.
William Ekong grabbed Ahmed Alaa El-Din and pulled at his shirt, trying to stop him and disrupt the attack.
Ahmed Alaa El-Din showed an unexpected reaction, as instead of falling to the ground and demanding a foul, he stopped playing, took off his shirt himself, and gave it to the Al-Ahly defender.
For his part, William Ekong appeared surprised by the opponent's behavior before throwing Ahmed Alaa El-Din's shirt to the ground.
The referee quickly intervened and ended the dispute before it escalated into a fight, and he showed a yellow card to Ahmed Alaa El-Din.
