Zinedine Zidane officially began his duties as head coach of the French national team, after leading his first training session with "Les Bleus", with 12 players participating.
The session had a recovery focus, and Zidane was joined by his assistant David Bettoni and goalkeeping coach Fabian Barthez.
The training session included a mini-match and shots on goal from crosses, with Zidane himself taking charge of delivering the crosses to the players, amidst the presence of about 50 journalists to follow the new coach's first appearance.
Zidane also made a change to the national team roster in preparation for the upcoming matches, calling up Como goalkeeper Jean Potet, instead of Lens' injured goalkeeper Robin Reiser.
This is the first call-up for the 31-year-old Poitier to the French national team.
The French national team is preparing to play four matches, starting with two away games against Turkey on September 25 and Belgium on September 28, before hosting Italy on October 2 and Belgium again on October 5 at the Stade de France.
Zidane officially took over as head coach of the French national team on August 1, with a contract extending until July 31, 2030, succeeding his compatriot Didier Deschamps, who spent 14 years leading the team.
