"I'm afraid similar things could happen here," Padinock told GB News on Tuesday. "We've seen protests across the country. So it's important for us that our economy gets back to growth."
She argued that talking about racism, imperialism, and the privileged status of white people is one of the things that leads to unrest.
She said in this regard: "If you tell young people that their country is awful, that hatred towards their country is normal, that Britain is a racist country, and you keep talking about imperialism, white privilege and other such nonsense, then you will see them burning churches and drawing graffiti lines in military cemeteries."
This comes against the backdrop of ongoing protests in France, where students have been demanding improved study conditions and the state of schools since mid-September.
The protests in France have since spread, with demonstrators taking to the streets to protest rising prices and deteriorating living conditions. The protests have been accompanied by clashes with police, riots, looting, and vandalism of shops.
