He says: "Stomach cancer is more common among the elderly, as the immune system weakens with age, the body's ability to control many cells declines, and the effects of malnutrition and smoking accumulate. In general, there are many contributing factors."
But he explained that there are many types of cancer that primarily affect younger patients.
He says: "There are types of tumors that are primarily linked to genetic characteristics or viral infection, such as rapidly dividing and growing tumors, including lymphomas. These tumors are usually more common among young people."
According to him, the groups most susceptible to stomach cancer include smokers and people who frequently eat spicy, salty, and seasoned foods, as these dietary habits may contribute to chronic inflammation of the stomach lining.
