Al-Wehdat's negotiations with Emad Al-Nahhas began last September before the club's management reached an agreement with the Egyptian coach to take over the task, so that he could arrive in the capital, Amman, and begin working with the team.
Al-Nahhas will begin his official duties with Al-Wehdat by facing Al-Jazeera next Friday at King Abdullah II Stadium in Al-Quwaysimah, in an important test for the new coach in order to bring the team back to the path of victories and correct its course in the Jordanian League.
The new coaching staff, in addition to Al-Nahhas, includes Mohamed Mohsen Abu Greisha as general coach, Abdel Rahman Farouk as assistant coach, and Ayman Mohamed as performance analyst.
Al Masry Al Portsaidi was the last team that Emad Al Nahhas coached before moving to Al Wahdat. He took over the technical leadership of the team at the beginning of the current season, but he left his position after only three rounds of the Egyptian League following a loss to Pyramids.
Al-Nahhas had previously had an experience abroad with the Iraqi club Al-Zawraa, which he coached in October 2025 after leaving Al-Ahly, before the Iraqi club announced in February 2026 the termination of his contract by mutual consent.
Al-Zawraa was Al-Nahhas’ second experience outside of Egypt, after he had previously coached Al-Tahadi of Libya during the 2023-2024 season.
