Jorge Martin is not satisfied with his performance during training in Mandalika

Aprilia Racing rider Jorge Martin stated that he was not satisfied with his performance during the 2026 Indonesian MotoGP practice session at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.
Martin felt he had good pace, but still struggled to consistently put together fast laps. He also experienced a change in front-end sensation during the afternoon session, after feeling more comfortable in the morning.

"I'm still far from where I want to be and I hope to solve the front end issue for Saturday," he said after the practice session.

According to the Spanish racer, the challenges he faces are not only related to his physical condition because he also feels he is in full physical condition, but is still adapting to the character of the Aprilia motorbike which is different from the Ducati he previously used.

Martin believes Raul Fernandez and Bezzecchi will be strong contenders at Mandalika. Marc Marquez is also expected to compete after demonstrating competitive speed throughout practice.

The 28-year-old hopes his team will find the right setup to boost his confidence ahead of qualifying and the race.

The opportunity to win, he added, remains open if the problem with the front of the motorbike can be resolved.
