Salah established himself as the star of the match that took place yesterday, Thursday, for the first round of the European Conference League, after he directly contributed to two goals, as he set up the first goal for his Nigerian teammate Paul Onuachu in the third minute, before returning himself to score the second goal in the 44th minute.
According to Opta, a network specializing in football statistics, the "Egyptian King" has become the third player in the history of the game to both score and assist in all three UEFA club competitions (Champions League, Europa League, and Europa League), joining the German duo Mario Götze and the Dutchman Cody Gakpo.
This exceptional achievement reflects the Egyptian star’s impressive continental career, as he had previously scored and assisted in European championships during his previous experiences with Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina, Roma, and Liverpool, before completing the continental treble with his quick impact with Trabzonspor, which he joined during the last summer transfer window.
