"We are encouraging car-free days to be held in all cities and districts. Car-free days provide people with the space to exercise independently," Erick said at a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday.
"They can exercise, run, or walk in the morning. We don't need to constantly organize special activities because the community can already use the space for exercise," he added.
In the future, the Ministry of Youth and Sports will also continue to collaborate with regional youth and sports agencies to implement programs that are more synchronized from the central government to the regions.
Erick hopes that this synergy will also encourage progress in the fields of youth and sports.
"It's not about what or why, but rather how we synchronize central and regional government programs so they can be implemented and their benefits felt according to the needs of youth and the sports community," Erick emphasized.
