Thousands of volunteers are ready to make the Hanoi SEA Games a success  Jakarta (ANTARA) - Around 3,000 volunteers have completed training and are ready to make the SEA Games Hanoi, Vietnam a success, which will take place from May 12-23.  Reported by the official website of the SEA Games Hanoi, Tuesday, about 1,900 volunteers will serve in Hanoi. While the rest will be assigned to 11 other regions, namely Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Ha Nam, Nin Binh, Nam Dinh, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, and Haiphong.  Deputy Chair of the Sub-Committee in charge of the Hanoi SEA Games ceremony, Nguyen Hai Duong, said the volunteers, especially students, were in good health and had good foreign language skills.  They will support delegates from officials, athletes, coaches, referees, and the media. Some of them will serve as emcees and interpreters during competitions, medal ceremonies and other related events, as well as during press conferences.  Nguyen Van Dung, a student at Hanoi University, said he was enthusiastic about volunteering because it could help him improve his communication skills.  Meanwhile, Pham Phuong Thao, a student at Hanoi Open University, hopes that the 31st edition of the SEA Games can promote the hospitality and peace-loving of the Vietnamese people to friends in other Southeast Asian countries.  SEA Games Hanoi carries the theme "For a Stronger South East Asia". This biennial sporting event in Southeast Asia will be attended by nearly 10,000 athletes, coaches and officials from the 40 sports being competed.
