The height of the kiswa is 14 meters, and in the upper third of it there is a belt 95 centimeters wide and 47 meters long. Under the belt there are Qur’anic verses written in a separate frame, and in the intervals between them there is a lantern that reads: “O live, O Qayyum,” “Oh, Most Merciful, O Most Merciful,” and “Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.” The covering includes the curtain of the door of the Kaaba called the burqa, which is made of silk, a height of 6 and a half meters and a width of 3 and a half meters, on which are written Qur’anic verses, and decorated with Islamic motifs embroidered with silver wires coated with gold. The covering of the Kaaba is prepared annually in the King Abdul Aziz Complex for the Covering of the Kaaba, in which about 200 manufacturers and administrators work.
