(Wafa) quoted Palestinian security sources as saying that "the two martyrs are from the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin," noting that the Israeli authorities are still holding their bodies.
The agency stated that the Israeli authorities closed the Al-Jalama checkpoint to the movement of vehicles.
For its part, the Israeli occupation army announced on Wednesday that its forces had shot two Palestinians, in the northern West Bank, and "neutralised" them.
The army said on its Twitter account: "The army forces detected two (Palestinian) gunmen in the seam area near Al-Jalama (the northern West Bank checkpoint), surrounded them and started procedures in an attempt to arrest them."
He added: "The two suspects (the Palestinians) opened fire on the soldiers, and the soldiers attacked the two suspects and shot them and neutralized them," without further details.
