There is no winner in a zero-sum game. Engaging in "decoupling and breaking chains" will not stop China's development process. China is willing to strengthen macro-policy coordination with the EU, oppose the politicization and weaponization of economic, trade and scientific and technological exchanges, jointly maintain the security and stability of the industrial and supply chains, and create a favorable environment for cooperation.  On the same day, Xi Jinping pointed out in a meeting with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen that China is an important partner for Europe to solve challenges such as energy and inflation and enhance competitiveness.  Xi Jinping pointed out that China and the EU should face up to differences, manage them and respect each other. It is hoped that the European Commission will focus on the fundamental and long-term interests of the EU, proceed from the overall situation of China-EU relations, and play an active role in the healthy and stable development of China-EU relations.  Von der Leyen told reporters in Beijing that trade relations between the EU and China were increasingly unbalanced; the EU was becoming more vigilant in protecting its interests and dependencies to ensure a level playing field.
