The Saudi Football Association announced today, Monday, that it has sent the official nomination letter requesting the Kingdom to host the 2034 World Cup finals to the International Federation (FIFA).
The Saudi Federation said in a statement published on its official website: “On Wednesday, October 4, Saudi Arabia revealed its intention to nominate to host the 2034 edition of the global football event, and this letter represents an official confirmation of the Kingdom’s commitment to go through the nomination process organized by the International Federation of Association Football.” Foot.

On this occasion, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Meshal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Association and member of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Council, said: “Last week, we revealed the Kingdom’s ambition to host the 2034 edition of the World Cup, and this speech represents the next step in our efforts towards Turning the dream of hosting the tournament into reality.

Al-Mishal added that the Kingdom is currently focusing on presenting an integrated file that shows the Kingdom’s capabilities to organize this tournament and welcome football fans from all over the world.

The Saudi Football Federation's announcement of its intention to run, less than 72 hours later, was supported by more than 70 federations from various continents, through official statements announcing the Kingdom's support for hosting the tournament.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has extensive experience and a track record of success in hosting major sporting events. The list of sporting events hosted by the Kingdom includes prominent sporting competitions with the presence of a wide range of the most prominent athletes of both genders in many different sports, including football, motor sports, tennis, equestrian, E-sports, golf and other global sports.
