A court in Amsterdam sentenced Dutchman Quincy Promis, the Russian Spartak Moscow striker, to six years in prison on charges of smuggling cocaine with a dangerous gang organization.

The hearing in the case was held on January 24, and the Public Prosecution in the Netherlands requested that Promis, who is currently in a training camp with Spartak in the Emirates, be imprisoned for 9 years after he was accused of importing about 1,361 kilograms of cocaine.

According to the court, Promis played a crucial role in the smuggling of two shipments of cocaine that arrived at the Belgian port of Antwerp in January 2020.

The 32-year-old player was not present at the court session, and the Dutch Public Prosecutor’s Office failed to obtain an extradition report, awaiting Promes’ return to the country to be arrested.

Earlier, Voetbalzone reported that Promis could be extradited if the Dutch Public Prosecutor's Office informs the UAE authorities of his presence in the country.

In June 2023, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes to a year and a half in prison on charges of his involvement in a stabbing incident of one of his relatives, and the footballer later appealed this decision.

This season, the striker played 21 matches with Spartak in all tournaments, in which he scored eight goals and provided eight assists.

Promes previously played for the Spanish club Seville and the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam, before moving to Spartak Moscow last winter of 2021, and he is still with them until now.

Quincy Promes previously played 50 matches with the Netherlands national team in various competitions, during which he scored 7 goals, in addition to playing in various age groups with the national team.

His excessive excitement cost him 10 thousand euros. The Italian League punishes Allegri

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri was punished due to the condition he appeared in following his team's match against Udinese, last Monday, in the 24th round of the Italian Football League.

Juventus stumbled at home and among its fans against Udinese, with a score of 1-0, continuing to fall and collecting one point from the last 3 matches.

According to the Football Italia website, Allegri entered into a nervous state after the final whistle of the match, and even made offensive comments towards the match referee.

He added that the Italian League decided to punish Allegri for his insulting statements to the referees, by imposing a fine on the coach of 10,000 euros.

It is noteworthy that Juventus, with its loss against Udinese, froze its score at 53 points, wasting the opportunity to approach leaders Inter Milan, who collected 60 points with a postponed match, so that it has the opportunity to move away from the lead by 10 points from its closest competitor.
