Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Iranian counterpart Ibrahim Raisi affirmed, during the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Algeria, their countries’ full support for the Palestinian cause.
Tebboune said: “We affirm our full support for the struggle of the Palestinian people, who are facing unjust aggression, and we denounce the brutal attempts to annihilate them, which are taking place before the eyes of the world.”
He added: "The security and stability of the entire region will not be achieved without the Palestinian people obtaining their full rights, most notably the establishment of their independent state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital."
In turn, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said: “Palestine today is an important issue for the Islamic world and all of humanity. The Western hegemonic system that was founded on the basis of the colonization of peoples has become weaker today than ever before and has lost its meaning.”
He continued: “The establishment of the Zionist entity was a colonial project to maintain the hegemony and influence of the West in our region, but thanks to the resistance of the Palestinians, the glass pillars of this project collapsed. The current war in Palestine is a struggle between the axis of evil and the axis of honor. Let those who remain silent today in the face of the crimes of the Zionists know.” They will inevitably face a strong blow tomorrow, because Palestine today is considered a standard for humanity, morals and conscience at the level of humanity.”
He added: "Today the UN Security Council is failing to achieve a ceasefire due to the United States' unlimited support for the Zionist war machine. America has done its utmost to support the organized terrorism of the Zionist entity. If the United States and Europe are truly seeking international peace and security, they must abandon lying." Hypocrisy and stopping the genocide committed against the Palestinian people.”
Raisi pointed out, "The United States must listen to the voice of its citizens who reject the genocide in Gaza and stop supporting the Zionist entity. The ongoing assassination of Palestinians and the ongoing siege of the Gaza Strip are taking place in light of American support for the Zionist entity and that this entity does not abide by any international conventions."
