North Gaza Governorate was the most affected, as about 86.2% of school buildings were directly affected or damaged, followed by Gaza and Khan Yunis Governorates.

According to the report, no less than 107 UNRWA schools (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees), equivalent to 57% of the agency’s schools, also fall into this category, in addition to 73% of government schools and 55.8% of private schools. In the sector.

The report also stated that 320 school buildings in Gaza were used as shelters by displaced people who fled their homes, and that 188 of those shelters were also directly hit or damaged.
