Warning signs of 7 silent and deadly cancers

A doctor shared the warning signs of seven silent, deadly cancers we should be aware of.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mudair, Consultant Oncologist at Spire Little Aston Hospital, published a complete list of deadly cancer diseases that are difficult to diagnose at the beginning of their appearance, and their warning signs.

1. Bowel cancer

Bowel cancer often targets people over the age of 60.

The director said that the main symptoms of the condition include: persistent abdominal pain, bloating, cramps and changes in bowel habits.

You may also notice blood in your stool and experience unintentional weight loss.

2. Cervical cancer

Possible signs of cervical cancer include: vaginal bleeding between periods, during or after sex, after menopause, changes in vaginal discharge, pain during sex, and pain in the lower back, lower abdomen, and pelvic area.

The director explained that cervical cancer is more common in women under the age of 45, who suffer from a weakened immune system, for example, due to HIV or AIDS.

3. Liver cancer

How serious liver cancer is depends on exactly where it is located, how big it is, and whether it has spread.

Symptoms of liver cancer can be confused with digestive problems, such as nausea, vomiting, pale stools, dark urine, and feeling full after eating only a small amount of food.

The director said that you may notice a mass in the upper right side of your abdomen, feel pain in this area, and feel swelling in the abdomen that is not caused by eating.

Other main symptoms include: jaundice, yellowing of the whites of the eyes, pain in the right shoulder, unintended weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, fever, and feeling unwell.

4. Lung cancer

Lung cancer is one of the most common and dangerous types of cancer.

Warning symptoms include: persistent cough, unexplained shortness of breath, coughing up blood, fatigue, loss of appetite, pain in the chest or shoulders, frequent or persistent chest infections, and unintended weight loss.

5. Ovarian cancer

Symptoms of ovarian cancer can be confused with signs of menstruation, including abdominal bloating, back pain, fatigue, and persistent pain or tenderness in the pelvic area.

Other symptoms include: constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, unintended weight loss, and sudden urge to urinate.

6. Pancreatic cancer

The director recommends monitoring symptoms including bloating, changes in stool, constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, as they may indicate pancreatic cancer.

You may also feel pain in the back and upper abdomen.

Other warning signs include: jaundice, unintended weight loss, loss of appetite, fever, and fatigue.

7. Prostate cancer

Prostate cancer tends to develop slowly, so you may not show any signs of the disease for many years.

However, once the tumor becomes large enough to press on the urethra, symptoms such as difficulty urinating, a frequent need to urinate, and a sensation that the bladder is not completely empty even after urination can appear.
