The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said in a brief statement that 217 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning.

According to the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa", colonists, protected by occupation soldiers, severely beat a citizen in Khirbet Sarura in Masafer Yatta, causing him to suffer bruises and wounds.

Right-wing Israeli groups called for massive incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of the Jewish Passover, which began a week ago and ends today.

Hundreds of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Easter period, guarded and escorted by the Israeli police.

The raids included restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers into the mosque. The raids take place through the Mughrabi Gate in the western wall of the mosque.

12 Palestinians were arrested in the West Bank

The occupation army also arrested 12 Palestinians, between Sunday evening and Monday morning, including a child and former prisoners, according to a joint statement by the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority (official) and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (Ahli), which raised the total number of arrests in the occupied West Bank to 8,505 since October 7. /October 2023.

Most of the recent arrests, according to the statement, were concentrated in the Hebron Governorate (south), in addition to others in the Jenin and Tulkarm governorates (north) and Jericho (east).

Data on detainees since last October 7 included those whom Israel maintained in detention and those it later released.

In parallel with its war on Gaza since the same date, the occupation army and Israeli settlers escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, leaving in addition to the arrests 491 martyrs and about 4,900 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Israeli occupation is waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly, according to Palestinian and UN data.

Israel continues its war despite the issuance of an immediate ceasefire resolution by the Security Council, and despite its appearance before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing "genocide."
