BLACKPINK's Jennie talks about challenges of solo career and role as CEO

Jakarta - Singer Jennie from K-pop group BLACKPINK shared the challenges she faced in her solo career and her role as CEO of Odd Atelier, the agency she founded in late 2023.

In the latest episode of Fairy Jaehyung's YouTube channel broadcast, Jennie talked about her busy schedule and constant traveling which left her exhausted.

"Traveling around the world makes me feel like time zones don't exist anymore. My body can't keep up, and I've been getting sick a lot lately," Jennie was quoted as saying in The Korea Times on Monday (10/3).

To musician Jung Jae-hyung, the host of the broadcast, Jennie said that she was trying to overcome the stress and fatigue caused by the busy schedule.

"Because I've been through it before, I kept trying. However, doing everything by myself now, especially with my first solo album, is very draining," he said.

Jennie also revealed her emotional burden at the beginning of her career journey, when she started working in the entertainment industry at the age of 21.

"I entered this industry at the age of 21, without fully understanding who I was. I didn't even know what I liked or didn't like. I kept moving, doing what was expected of me without a chance to stop and reflect," he said.
