APJI encourages Indonesian Cuisine Day as a national day

The Indonesian Catering Entrepreneurs Association (APJI) is pushing for the proposal for "Indonesian Cuisine Day" to be declared a national day.

In the 9th APJI National Working Meeting (Rakernas) in 2025, on Wednesday, APJI General Chairperson, Tashya Megananda Yukki, conveyed the proposal that Indonesian Cuisine Day is not only about celebrating culinary riches, but also improving the regional economy from upstream to downstream.

"Through this Indonesian Cuisine Day, the use of local products will increase, farmers, producers, and culinary MSMEs will enjoy a real economic impact," said Tashya.
