Clean Tourism Movement is considered to strengthen the cleanliness aspect of tourism.

The Ministry of Tourism believes that the Clean Tourism Movement (GWB) can strengthen the cleanliness and sustainability aspects of tourist destinations in Indonesia.

"I believe that the Clean Tourism Movement can be a step to answer the big challenge in maintaining the cleanliness, sustainability, and sustainability of our tourist destinations," said Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana in an official statement in Jakarta, Thursday.

Through the implementation of GWB at Kuta Mandalika Beach, West Nusa Tenggara on Thursday (24/4), Widiyanti stated that GWB is a concrete action born from collective awareness and collaboration with various parties, as a form of concern for the importance of maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of Indonesian tourist destinations.

Moreover, the tourism sector in Lombok has become one of the drivers of the regional economy, with the achievement of 1.2 million tourist visits, or almost half of the total visits in NTB which reached 2.5 million tourists in 2024.
