Jakarta - Bethsaida Hospital General Oncology Surgeon Specialist Dr Bajuadji, SpB Onk, MARS said early detection is the main key to increasing the chances of healing breast cancer.
"Examinations such as mammography and breast ultrasound can find cancer cells at an early stage, even before symptoms appear," said Dr. Bajuadji in his statement on Tuesday.
Breast cancer diagnosis is carried out through a series of examinations, starting from physical examination, mammography, ultrasound, to biopsy and breast MRI.
"All of this aims to accurately determine the presence and characteristics of cancer cells," he said.
Breast cancer stages are divided into five levels, from stage 0 to IV. In the early stages, cancer cells are still confined to the breast tissue and the chance of recovery can reach almost 100 percent.
