Jakarta - Indonesian men's doubles pair Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin will face a tough test against the second seed from the host country, Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang, in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Badminton Asia Championships (BAC) at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Friday (11/4).
Despite having defeated the world's number two pair, Fikri/Daniel are reluctant to be arrogant. They are wary of the strength of their opponents who are known to be solid and aggressive, especially when performing in front of their own audience.
"Tomorrow we meet Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang, at least we have to show a game like before. It's not easy but we believe there is a chance," said Fikti in a written statement, Thursday.
Fikri/Daniel's confidence is high after successfully eliminating the fifth seeded pair from South Korea, Kim Won Ho/Seo Seung Jae, through a three-game battle with a score of 18-21, 21-17, 21-15 in the round of 16.
