Jakarta - Red Bulls Racing driver Max Verstappen continues to closely follow McLaren driver Lando Norris at the top of the Formula 1 standings this season.
Max Verstappen just won the Japanese GP which took place at the Suzuka Circuit, Mie, Sunday (6/4).
The additional 25 points made the Dutch racer jump to second place in the standings with 61 points.
Meanwhile, Norris, who secured the second podium at the Japanese GP, now leads the standings with a collection of 62 points.
Norris' teammate, Oscar Piastri, who finished third on the podium at the Japanese GP, also continues to closely follow in third place in the standings with 49 points.
Meanwhile, fourth and fifth place are occupied by Mercedes duo George Russell (45 points) and Kimi Antonelli (30 points).
Inconsistent performance was shown by two Ferrari drivers, namely Charles Leclerc (sixth place with 20 points) and Lewis Hamilton (eighth place with 15 points).
The next Formula 1 will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit on April 11-13.
