PT Bakrieland Development Tbk officially opened Jungle Sea Theme Park, a new tourist destination that combines the concept of tropical forest and ocean in one area in Kalianda, South Lampung.
Resza Adikreshna, President Director of PT Graha Andrasentra Propertindo, a subsidiary of Bakrieland, in Kalianda, South Lampung, Saturday said that the construction of Jungle Sea is a form of real contribution from the Bakrie family to their hometown in Kalianda.
"The construction of Jungle Sea is a tribute to our homeland. This is not just a business project, but also part of building hope and a better future for the surrounding community," said Resza.
He explained that Jungle Sea was built on 4.2 hectares of land and is part of the Nirwana Resort area which totals 25 hectares. In this first phase, more than 20 game rides, photo spots, and educational facilities have been presented for visitors of all ages.
Jungle Sea is also integrated with Kalianda Nirwana Resort, facilitating accommodation access for tourists from outside the area. Not only that, supporting facilities such as food courts, local UMKM, and entertainment stages are also prepared to enliven the area.
According to Bakrieland, the construction of JungleSea is the first step in realizing the Kalianda area as a leading tourist destination on par with Nusa Dua in Bali. The long-term vision includes the construction of a star-rated hotel, beach club, international-standard golf course, and other supporting facilities.
