Why do some people overeat?

Nutritionist Dr. Elena Solomatina points out that many people eat in a hurry or while they are bored.

According to her, experts confirm that eating this way negatively impacts physical and mental health. Eating this way also leads to overeating.

The expert points out that overeating directly depends on a person's level of concentration on food during meals.

She says, "The human body is built to feel satisfied with very small meals. But the key is to prolong the pleasure experienced by the individual to satisfy certain brain regions. Then comes insulin, which transports glucose into the cells for energy, and then other processes begin. To achieve these processes, one must eat slowly, without distraction, and without distraction and concentration."

According to her, biochemical processes or mental functions separate the soul and body, and humans need to connect them. She points out that sometimes a person may crave sweets or something else unhealthy. This is possible, but only after a meal, not on an empty stomach.

For her part, Dr. Galina Volkova points out that to prevent the body from using up sugar reserves from the liver, which increases appetite, it's best to eat breakfast within 20-40 minutes of waking up.
According to her, skipping the first meal of the day can lead to overeating and increased cravings for sweets throughout the day.
