Jakarta - Technology company Meta said that its fact-checking program in the United States (US) will end and will be replaced with a service called Community Notes .
The news was reported by The Verge on Saturday, stating that Meta's fact-checking service will end on Monday (7/4) afternoon. This was also confirmed by Meta's Global Policy Chief Joel Kaplan.
He said that fact-checkers will no longer be working and new fact-checks will no longer be made after that date on Facebook, Instagram, or Threads. The company has chosen to replace it with the new Community Notes feature .
