Deputy Minister of Tourism (Wamenpar) Ni Luh Enik Ermawati stated that her party continues to boost visits by foreign tourists (wisman) to Indonesia through tourism promotions to several countries in 2025.
"Indeed, in the first quarter of every year there is definitely a 'low session', it goes down like that and we continue to boost it with promotions," said Ni Luh Enik Ermawati in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Saturday.
Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Enik Ermawati conveyed this after activating the Clean Tourism Movement program at Waterfront City Labuan Bajo.
He said that the Ministry of Tourism in its efforts to promote tourism in 2025 will participate in the world's largest tourism exhibition, the Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) Berlin 2025.
Another international event for tourism promotion that the Ministry of Tourism is participating in is the South Asia's Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2025.
"We just came from ITB Berlin where during the holding of one of the world's largest tourism exhibitions in Berlin, the pax sold increased by over 30 percent, then we hope this can have a positive impact in several of our priority areas, yesterday we were also from SATTE in India, the pax sold significantly, then from Australia for the exhibition too and that was also significant," he said.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister of Tourism also explained that tourism promotion efforts are expected to not only increase the number of foreign tourist visits, but also increase the length of stay of tourists at tourist destinations.
The increasing length of stay of tourists in a number of tourist destinations and priority tourist destinations is considered to increase state revenue from the tourism sector.
