PSG secure 13th French League title after beating Angers

Jakarta - Paris Saint-Germain secured the 2024/2025 French League title and their 13th trophy in the competition of all time after beating Angers with a score of 1-0 in the 28th week match at the Parc des Princes Stadium, Paris, Saturday.

On paper a draw was enough for Luis Enrique's side to secure the title, but young talent Desire Doue made the moment even sweeter with the only goal he scored in the 55th minute against Angers.

Le Parisien are sitting at the top of the standings with a collection of 74 points, 24 points ahead of second-placed AS Monaco who have only played their 28th match in a later schedule, according to the official French League website.

It is PSG's fourth straight Ligue 1 title, and their 11th in the last 13 seasons, and provides a glimpse of PSG's domestic dominance since being taken over by Qatar Sports Investments in 2011.

PSG have a total of 13 French league titles. That is three more than St Etienne, who are the second most successful club in Ligue 1 with 10 titles, but they have not won a league title since 1981.

Marseille have nine French League titles, while Nantes and AS Monaco have eight each.
