Teething is not the cause of children getting fevers




Pediatric dentist who graduated from the University of Indonesia, drg. Aliyah, Sp.KGA emphasized that teething is not the cause of children getting fever.

"No, that is a very wrong myth. I have

explained earlier that since birth, if we take good care of our oral cavity, when teething age there will be no fever," said Aliyah after attending a press conference in Jakarta, Monday.

Aliyah explained that fever occurs due to the accumulation of food or drink residue which triggers the arrival of bacteria that are not in accordance with the harmony in the oral cavity.

Fever is also a form of protection in response to foreign substances or objects entering the body.
