Tornado kills 3 people in Seville

A tornado destroyed an agricultural warehouse on Friday, killing three people working inside in southern Spain, emergency services said.

According to rescue reports, emergency crews were called to the accident site in an area near the town of Dos Hermanos, close to Seville in the Andalusia region, at around 11:35 a.m. local time, after strong winds tore the roof off the 500-square-meter warehouse, causing it to collapse completely on the trapped workers.

For his part, the Spanish Minister of Labor and Social Economy announced the formation of a special investigation team to determine the circumstances of the accident.

Labor unions also commented on the tragedy. Carmen Tirado, secretary of the Seville Workers' Committees, emphasized the need for companies to suspend operations immediately upon severe weather warnings, noting that neglecting these preventive measures could lead to similar disasters.

It's worth noting that this incident highlights the importance of taking strict measures to ensure the safety of workers in agricultural environments, especially in light of the increasing climate fluctuations witnessed in the region.

It's worth noting that Andalusia occasionally experiences violent storms, but incidents of this severity remain rare. Local officials have urged citizens to stay away from the disaster site until the search and rescue efforts are completed.
