Al-Sharaa delivered a speech in which he affirmed that Aleppo would become the greatest economic beacon, that the war with the tyrants had ended and that the battle against poverty had begun.
Al-Sharaa praised the people of Aleppo, saying that they “wrote lines of glory with pure blood,” and that the city was a witness to their steadfastness and the key to victory.
He added: “I was deeply affected by its loss and how determined I was to reclaim it. People warned me against entering it, so I said: There is no conquest greater than Aleppo and no victory equals it.”
The Syrian president noted that his country's name is once again being mentioned in international forums, "and Syrians are now valued and respected, after having been pushed out of the door, deprived of their rights and left to their fate of killing, displacement, and humiliation."
He continued: "What we are seeing in terms of support from our brothers and friends and the lifting of sanctions is not a political favor, but rather a recognition that Syrians have earned from the world for the sacrifices they have made and the heroism they have achieved."
