The Lebanese Ministry of Health's Health Emergency Operations Center reported in a statement that "an Israeli drone strike on a motorcycle in the town of Yater, Bint Jbeil District, resulted in one martyr."

The National News Agency had previously reported that the raid was carried out by two missiles fired from an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft, initially resulting in critical injuries. The wounded man was transported to a local hospital by ambulance crews, before later succumbing to his injuries.

As of 7:45 a.m. GMT, no official comment had been issued by the Israeli military, the Lebanese side, or Hezbollah regarding the identity of the dead person or the circumstances of the raid.

In a related context, the Lebanese National News Agency reported today, Wednesday, that "the Israeli enemy army has been carrying out, since approximately 6:30 a.m. (04:30 GMT), a large-scale combing operation using machine guns towards the Marjayoun plain," in the Marjayoun district in the Nabatieh Governorate, southern Lebanon.

The agency also said that "hostile drones are flying at a low altitude, in the airspace of the Zahrani region."

In another development in the same region, the Lebanese army announced that it had dismantled a camouflaged Israeli spy device equipped with a camera, which was found in the outskirts of the town of Blida. It also removed two earthen barriers erected by Israeli forces in the outskirts of the towns of Blida and Mays al-Jabal.

"As part of its ongoing engineering surveys in the southern regions, a specialized military unit found a camouflaged Israeli spy device equipped with a camera in the outskirts of the town of Blida-Marjayoun and worked to dismantle it," the army said in an official statement. "The unit also removed two earthen barriers erected by the enemy in the towns of Blida and Mays al-Jabal in Marjayoun."

The statement affirmed that the army command is monitoring the situation on the ground in the south, in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), in light of continued Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty and repeated attacks on civilians, particularly in the border areas.

Israel launched its aggression against Lebanon on October 8, 2023, a day after the outbreak of the war in Gaza. The escalation then escalated into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in the deaths of more than 4,000 people, the injury of approximately 17,000, and the displacement of approximately 1.4 million Lebanese, according to official statistics.

Despite the ceasefire agreement in effect since November 27, Israel continues to violate the agreement. According to official Lebanese data, at least 205 people have been killed and 501 others wounded as a result of these violations.
