Madura United coach Angel Alfredo Vera asked his team to rise in the two remaining matches of the Indonesian League 1 to avoid the threat of relegation at the end of the season.
Quoted from the official Indonesian League website, Tuesday, Alfredo Vera asked his team to immediately recover ahead of facing Bali United in the 33rd week of the Indonesian League 1.
"There is enough time for us to face Bali United. We will see again what we have to do in training. Everything will improve and we have to come back stronger," said Alfredo Vera.
Madura United is currently trying to bounce back after failing to get points in its last two matches against Semen Padang and Borneo FC.
Laskar Sape Kerrab had to swallow a 1-2 defeat when visiting Semen Padang's headquarters, then lost with a tight score of 2-3 when hosting Borneo FC at home.
The Argentine coach emphasized that Lulinha and his colleagues should forget the consecutive poor results and focus on improving themselves in facing the two remaining matches.
"We know, this is a result, which we did not want. But, we have to forget this defeat. We look forward, and fight together again," said Alfredo Vera.
Currently, Madura United is in 14th place in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 33 points from 32 matches and needs five points to escape the relegation zone.
