The State-Owned Enterprise (Perum) Damri recorded that it had transported around 22 thousand passengers during the Waisak holiday and joint leave on May 8-13, 2025.
"During the Waisak long weekend from May 8-13, 2025, the customer volume reached almost 22 thousand people," said Head of Corporate Communication Damri Atikah Abdullah as stated in Jakarta, Thursday.
He said that of that number, 2,320 customers were served via the favorite route, namely Damri Gambir Station in Jakarta to Damri Tanjung Karang Station in Bandar Lampung City (round trip/PP).
He explained that the Jakarta-Lampung route is the main choice for the public because it connects the center of the capital with Bandar Lampung which is strategic and vital for customer mobility and logistics distribution.
However, Atikah said that the busiest departure points during the long Waisak holiday period were Gambir Station with 2,967 customers and Damri Kemayoran Station with 2,798 customers.
He said Damri not only focuses on customer comfort and safety, but also consistently supports government programs in providing affordable logistics and transportation services.
As a concrete manifestation of this commitment, Damri is offering a 20 percent discount for ticket purchases via the RedBus application for the Jakarta to Surabaya, Malang, Bandar Lampung, Yogyakarta, and Solo routes until July 8, 2025.
"This promo provides easy access to transportation at more economical prices while supporting the efficiency of logistics costs and distribution of goods," he said.
Atikah emphasized that this is part of Damri's ongoing strategy to reduce logistics and transportation costs, so that it can encourage economic growth and equitable development throughout Indonesia.
