Demonstrations in front of the Israeli embassy in London in protest against the occupation's raids on Syria.

The demonstration was organized by the "Syria Solidarity Campaign," with demonstrators gathering in front of the Israeli embassy in London to express their rejection of Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.

The demonstrators raised Syrian flags and chanted slogans such as: "The Golan Heights is Syrian land." They also directed chants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, such as: "Netanyahu, you will see, the Golan Heights will be liberated" and "Hands off Syria."

Protesters carried banners reading: "Justice for Syria," "Impose sanctions on Israel," "Israel's aggression is a threat to regional peace," and "Stop Israel's occupation of territories."

Demonstrators also sent a message of solidarity with the Palestinian people, waving Palestinian flags, wearing the keffiyeh, and chanting slogans such as "Netanyahu is a war criminal," "Netanyahu is a child killer," and "From the river to the sea, Palestine is free."

British police have taken strict security measures around the Israeli embassy building.

On December 8, 2024, Syrian factions completed their control of the country, ending 61 years of Baath Party rule and 53 years of Assad family control.

Although the new Syrian administration, headed by Ahmad al-Sharaa, has not threatened Israel in any way, Tel Aviv has been launching airstrikes on Syria on an almost daily basis for months, killing civilians and destroying Syrian military sites, vehicles, and ammunition.

Since 1967, Israel has occupied most of the Syrian Golan Heights. Taking advantage of the new situation in the country following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime, Israel occupied the Syrian buffer zone and declared the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement between the two sides.
