PSSI General Chairman Erick Thohir responded to accusations by Semen Padang team advisor Andre Rosiade who said there was a mafia in Indonesian football.
When met by the media crew after the inauguration of the Garuda Academy and FIFA Arena Indonesia Erick asked for evidence if there was a mafia in Indonesian football.
"Look, if there is evidence, we can't accuse each other. And I see the struggle of the teams is still competing until today," said Erick.
He also admitted that he was happy when Semen Padang was able to win three times and believed that the victory was achieved fairly.
"So things like this, I think this is the era of democracy, it's normal, open to criticism and suggestions, and I think the league also accepts that criticism. And what's important is that we continue to push for healthier football," he continued.
Not only Erick, the President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) Ferry Paulus, Wednesday, also responded to Andre's accusations regarding the mafia in Indonesian football with the initials JN and P.
