This came at a press conference on Thursday, following the informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in the Turkish province of Antalya.

"The ongoing humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip is a disgrace to humanity," Fidan said, stressing that "a two-state solution is essential to resolving the Palestinian issue and achieving security for Palestine and Israel ."

He explained that his country seeks a two-state solution and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, adding that "Israel must cease fire and allow aid into Gaza ."

Regarding the Syrian issue, the Turkish Foreign Minister indicated that Ankara's intensive diplomatic efforts contributed to the lifting of sanctions on Syria, explaining that his country is monitoring several issues in Syria, including the presence of the US military within Syrian territory .

He pointed out that "Syria's stability is an important priority," affirming continued support for its integration into the international community. He noted that the Syrian government is determined to combat terrorist organizations, and that an instability in Syria is in no one's interest .

Regarding developments related to the Ukrainian war, Fidan stated that "the Istanbul negotiations are an important step towards achieving peace between Russia and Ukraine," adding that Ankara supports Ukraine's territorial integrity and emphasizing that "lasting peace can only be achieved through diplomacy and dialogue ."

Fidan stated that Turkey's position on establishing peace in the region and ending the Russian-Ukrainian war is clear, explaining that his country will play an active role in strengthening the international security system as it has the second-largest army in NATO .

The Turkish Foreign Minister affirmed that his country is ready to cooperate with all countries in the defense industry, noting that "the security of the European Union is important to Turkey, and a roadmap for defense industries must be developed ."

Antalya is hosting the informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers, attended by representatives from 32 countries.
